Lets Set The Goal

As a TDC challenger lets set the goal for yourself, so that you can have a target in mind.

Then you can begin your journey towards the goal. What you have to do here is just scroll down and announce your goal in the below text box, so that all of the team members know about goals and then everybody will follow-up with you by encouraging and asking about your progress.

This is one of the fine way of compeleting this challenge. Actually you can move on in this challenge with your own pace, but sharing your goal and actions with team will provide you lot of inspiration, advices and positive energy.

Common guys announce your goal for this challenge by in the comment box.

    1. To create a like minded peoples team — (I think with in a week I just achieved my first goal, its my pleasure to have such nice team.)

    2. To help other people to start online business

    3. To get first sale by selling afilliates which I never did before

Best of luck to all the Visioners

My goal is basically very vague but I want to learn the tricks of the trade. I’m so interested with affiliate marketing, selling your own products, making blogs, among other things. Already in the last week I have learned a lot about the internet that I didn’t know anything about.

How will this work? will you post things on your blog each day or every couple days?

Thank you for starting a team!

  4. Hi Trustavenger,

Your goal is really short, but which lessons you are talking about, training lessons or preseason lessons.

You are welcome to set your next goal as per your pace.

    Tell us:
How do you go through with these lessons, like what is your time table for them to finish?

How much so far you had finish?

When do you expected to finish them?

    Regards,

  5. Hi Tmich16,You are welcome Tmich, you look too enthusiastic. We need you as inspiration to others by setting nice goals.

OK! Let me clear here that what I understand from your goals are:

you want to be affiliate marketer,
you want to be sell your own products
you want to be learn blogging

But first thing first the arrangement of your goals in my opinion should be like this

    Your Wish list
    ——————
    1. you should learn the blogging techniques,
    2. you should learn affiliate marketing techniques
    3. you should learn to create your products
    4. you should learn the marketing strategies for your products

    But wait….
Before all of these, take a look at the day 1 videos of TDC and you will figure out that

    TDC List of Tasks
    ———————–
    1. First thing you have to do for the online business is to do the research for your niche market.
    2. Secondly you have to test your niche market.
    3. Thirdly you should know whether people are spending money in your niche market

    4. Then only you have to go through with your above Wish List as I arranged for you

I want other people to comment for these goals so that we can help others to keep focus on their’s goals in the right direction

I like the order of the wish list that you created for me. I am enthusiastic about this even though I’m just getting started.

I find myself in a nice situation. I’m currently living my dream right now. Come October I’ll be playing professional hockey and the beauty of it is that I have lots of free time on days that we don’t have games. I really want to take advantage of that time to pursue my goals of being successful on the internet.

I’ve gone through the pre-season and I’m on day 6. I’m creating my first ever blog but I came across a problem with the step 2 of word press direct. For some strange reason they won’t let me move on to the next page. I did everything that they did on the ex. video.

I emailed wordpress about the problem but they are worthless and haven’t gotten back to me. Hopefully they will address my issue soon so I can move along with this process.

One last thing, they talk about finding a small niche market on the 30dc but I’ve been watching and listening to other experts in the field and they say otherwise. How do you feel about this?

  7. Hi Tmich16,
Thank you, for liking the wish list arrangement.

    WordPress Direct Problem
    ———————————
I understand there is a problem for in Wordpress direct step 2.
Would please let us know exactly what you are trying to do, you are following the steps from which video or link?

    Niche Market
    —————-
See everybody says lot of things, you don’t have to confuse yourself with lot others people directions, specially during this challenge. Because in my opinion we are here to try the TDC things so it is simple that we should follow the TDC pattern.

I think if all of us stuck to this pattern, then only we can get the result as TDC other successful players.

    Videos
    ————-
As you said that had already finished watching day 6 videos, and also saying that you already in the process of making blog.

Please let us know what actions you had taken for the keywords research. Also a general idea or your business plan of your business will be more helpful for the people who is trying to understand the online business. Where are you hosting your site, what is the domain name you have?

    Your Site Link
    ———————-

You can feel free to post your site link here without any worries and let the team know your site and provide you the useful comments

I have spent a few years reading success stories and learning different IM techniques. I just want to prove to myself that I can have the same success.
The first goal is to become consistent about internet marketing.Second goal, is to learn the foundations of internet marketing (seo, keywords, creative writing). Third goal, is to finish working on my student loan blog. Fourth goal, is to start doing some niche blogging. Fifth goal, is to create my own product. Also, I would like to help others.

  9. Hi Elizabeth,

Thats fantastic you got the beginning and you have very clear goals and also I like the order in which you had specified them.

Now its our job to see you follow your goals with your own pace.

Tell us about your first goal,
what are the steps you are planning to take?
do you have any action plan for them?

Success come with consistency, if you are successful in your first goal then I think you will sure be get success in other goals.

    Best Regards,

    Hi there,

I think my main goal is simply to set-up and maintain a profitable online business.

In order to do this I’m going to need to learn about internet marketing in it’s entirety, amongst other things.

I can achieve this by following the 30DC as part of a team. And also by watching/reading as much material as I can find on internet marketing.

My focus at this very moment in time is to really get to grips with using, interpreting and analysing the data that market samurai presents me with. This is what I’m stuck getting my head round at the moment and I’m determined to figure every bit of it out.

Hi Visioners! Great job Amer getting this team going.

Here are some of my motivations, questions and goals for the 30dC.

    My motivations
There are many things that have motivated me to have a go at the 30dC. Among them have been observing some people I know personally start internet business which generate good incomes. Here are two:
    http://www.dooce.com/
I got to know this site because a colleague at works wife stated do a blog a couple of years ago which produced a little bit of cash but over the last couple of years she has become the primary bread winner for the family simply using this site, wow! This I think is a purely advertising supported model.

    http://www.bustersbestbakery.com/index.html
Check out this site. It was recently created by a friend of mine. She is now struggling to keep up with demand, what a great web business idea! Straight out of The “4-Hour Workweek”.
    http://www.amazon.com/4-Hour-Workweek-Escape-Live-Anywhere/dp/0307353133/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1221838357&sr=8-1
She is currently renting half a small bakery facility to create the products and is thinking now about how to outsource the product creation and shipping processes, how cool is that? Don’t you just love the quality control department?

I’ve also been around a while and remember when the first IBM PC’s started shipping. I have a PC/XT that had a 10mb hard disk and I remember trying to figure out what a spreadsheet was. It wasn’t until I found a personal use for it (my personal accounts) that I suddenly got it. I then quit my existing job (sales in a retail store) and tripled my earnings the first year, essentially riding the technology revolution that very few (at the time) people had any clue about. I really believe that Web 2.0 is a similar wave.

    Questions?
I’m wondering whether there is a site/forum or whether we can discuss business model examples of new and successful sites? It would be great to see a “top 100 new internet business sites” which discusses how the site was started (what the thinking was) how it evolved and what the revenue model is. I don’t mean the really big ones, more the small business under a million dollar start-up’s. Maybe Eb will look at this during the challenge? Maybe that’s business an idea in and of itself?

How can we or should I say is there a way to have some kind of rules of engagement that would encourage us to discuss our own ideas for niches and or business models with the team?

Is this the primary way that we will be communicating as a team?

Are there any other complementary studies / courses / things to learn about that team members have used which might be beneficial?

    Goals
(Not sure I know enough to set myself solid goals yet) It’s great to see what goals and other people are focusing on, it’s an inspiration! Anyway here goes:

Goal 1 – Finish the pre-season this weekend and get though the first 5 days next week (stretch goal get through the first 10 days by Sunday 28th).
Goal 2 – Define at least three business model ideas to test – I guess I’m not ready to set a time line on that yet as I simply just don’t know enough.
Goal 3 – Start blogging but with some kind of theme or angle, set a target for the number of real readers / follows – again I don’t know enough yet to pin this down more than that.

    Help
Any input or suggestions would be greatly received as I do not really have a clue what I am doing 

  12. Hi Rich,

Thats nice you a common goal which almost all of this team members are having. Thats sound good. You mention that you have to do lot of efforts to achieve your goal.

Tell me, do you have any specific plan with you to move towards this goal, a plan which should contain step by step actions with time limit to it. I think that will motivate. The time limit is the heart of any plan to motiviate a person to take action.

I insist you make a action plan whatever comes to your mind and then proceed from there. Your journey to this goal will be more specific.

    Regards,
    Amer

  13. Hi Tim,

You really rock man, I insist everyone should follow your plan that include an action plan and timit limit to move on towards the specific targeted date.

Only suggestion I have for your goals are to be practical, don’t spend whole time for only watching and reading the material. I suggest everybody here to start taking actions side by side to the reading/watching training material.

Then only you can realize where you stayed and where you have to go. A beginning of another era of Internet business experience. Where you can judge yourself and decide where to spend more time and money for your up-coming online businesses.

About discussing the business model, I recieve another email, questioning the communicating system here.

So I what to know, if I setup a forum in my site to discuss each the business model and other tools and techniques of internet marketing taught in the 30DC by the Ed and his team.

By the way the links you posted are nice motivation. Keep posting such things, so that our blood start pumping up.

    Good luck Tim

    Regards,
    Amer

I really need to make a schedule for each day and follow the schedule. Today, I started by doing a To Do List but I think I need to take it a step further.

Since last posting I have been able to address the wordpress problem. It turns out it was a DNS problem that wasn’t hard to resolve.

When I first started with the TDC I found some small niches like they advised us to do. I got caught up in the whole learning how to learn how to make a blog. So the first domain I bought and registered was: www.digitalframesblog.com

I know I picked a large market, however my reasoning was this. Christmas is slowly creeping up on us and last year digital frames did very well. I’m sure they will do as good or better this year and if I were able to show up on the first of second page on google search perhaps I would make some sales. Still a work in process.

I’m on day 8 so the blog is plain and there isn’t much to it as of yet.
I did make another blog more suited for the micro niche. I’m way more interested in this one because it deals with my passion. Here is my second blog. www.syntheticiceblog.com

I have an issue with this niche/product. I haven’t been able to find an affiliate program for it. Synthetic ice is a product that people can skate on. So what kind of things can/should I promote on my site?

Please give me some feedback, positive or not would be much appreciated.

    Regards,
    Tmich16
